Adult Boxing (and 15 yrs + where suitable)

At Grizzly Boxing Club, adults (and 15 – 17 yrs where suitable) can progressively step into the sport of boxing.  Whether your goal is fitness, skill development or competition. Some members join us to push their conditioning and master the art of boxing as a recreational pursuit, while others choose to test themselves as active competitors. You decide how far you want to take it and how much contact you want in your training. Wherever you’re starting from, you will be learning one of the greatest sports in the world with expert coaching and a supportive community.

New to Boxing and not in a hurry?

Join our 6-week Beginner Boxing Camp, the next one is starting in January 2026.  This is for adults (and 15 – 17 yrs where appropriate, we also offer regular teen ongoing classes on the kids and youth boxing page of this website).  The camp has limited spaces so please book ahead.  The camp is a very welcoming way to get familiar with the club, meet the coaches and experience the culture of boxing alongside other new people.

Don’t want to wait for a new camp to start?  

Ease in with our Adult Grizzly Membership (see below pricing table) which is a non-contact program where you can develop your fitness and skillset without the concern of getting hit.   This is a great way to get started at the club and if interested or when you feel ready, transition to light and full contact in the  Applied Skills Membership.

Already have some formal competitive boxing training

If you have recreational or competitive training you can skip the steps above and join directly to the Adult Grizzly Membership – Applied Skills (see below pricing table).  This is a light contact level that includes access to full contact sparring when you are ready.  It is also considered the gateway to the competitive team for those who demonstrate their commitment and ability.

FAQ’s

No, we start where you are at with your individual fitness level upon arriving and encourage gradual growth. Our group classes are designed using intensity and time as the measure. This means you will be doing the same quality exercise as your classmates but you do not need to perform the same quantity. We want to see you learning proper form at the beginning then transition to expect higher quantity as you grow in your overall fitness.
Please wear comfortable, flexible workout wear. Indoor runners are required – no exceptions. Please bring along a full water bottle. We are no longer able to lend or share equipment due to COVID – 19 safety measures. For your initial TRIAL INTRO to Boxing you do not need any boxing equipment. If you decide to join with a membership you will need boxing gloves, jump rope and hand wraps we can assist with these items. Should you optionally pursue sparring as you develop, we would prepare you for a protective boxing equipment upgrade.
Yes, but you are also welcome to arrive in your workout wear ready to train.
